The world’s dying and man is to blame. Pollution occurs when the environment cannot destroy a substance without creating harm or injury to itself. As pollution has a negative effect on natural elements that are an absolute need for life to exist on earth, it stresses that pollution does play an important role to the deterioration of the world’s natural resources to life. As well, Overpopulation ties to the attack on the world’s natural resources with the constant need for human expansion, an enlarging population contributing to pollution, and man’s wish to consume most of the world’s resources. The most significant thing happening today to the environment is the depletion of the world’s natural resources and sustainability for life, generated by the human behaviors of pollution and overpopulation. The definition of pollution is “the presence in or introduction into the environment of a substance or thing that has harmful or poisonous effects.” In conjunction one can see that this includes a variety of environmentally harmful things that all set to ruin the earth. One pollutant that is also probably the most significant in single handedly eradicating the world, is air pollution. Air pollution is mostly from human cause; the Burning of fossil fuels, the use of cars, planes, and power plants, and other human activities bring massive amounts of carbon dioxide and other hazardous pollutants into the air. From a source Conserve Energy Future it is said “by 2050, 6 billion people will die per year to air pollution.” A number that has no reference, it cannot be compared to any other situation because this number surpases all. Yet man is to blame, humans have inflicted this upon themselves and our precious, glorious world cannot bring us out of this hole as it has done to most of our human produced problems. Thus because our situation is that now we are destroying the planet and its natural resources as well as its ability to sustain life. Factually proven by the actuality that soon 6 billion people will die by air pollution. Other evidence is from human impact on the oceans is growing saying “two-thirds of the ocean is experiencing an increase in man-made impacts due to climate changean effect of air pollution.” and 5 percent of the world’s oceans are heavily harmed by human activity, and of “these are among the parts of the oceans most important to humans.” So for one man is killing the oceans, And for two man is killing the resources we need to sustain life from these oceans; Again man is to blame. We see ourselves the human race that is as the most intelligent beings to inhabit the earth yet stupidly enough the human race is sending their home into deterioration to support life. Man has once again achieved the impossible and has destroyed the world and themselves with it. Though it doesn’t stop there, soil pollution is another man produced entity aspiring to harm the earth. From an organization promoting sustainable lifestyle habits and an article titled Land Pollution Facts it states “due to land pollution, the earth loses approximately 25 billion tons of valuable topsoil each year.” Topsoil used for crop growth, to preserve life, for natural resources, wildlife, and nature that can no longer be serviced. Consequently life cannot be sustained in theses areas and the areas that do contain life are being affected of soil pollution. Further on there is water pollution and the harming affects it has on the planet’s wildlife and the waters wellness to the earth. Affirmed in Important Facts Of Water Pollution “40 percent of America’s rivers and 46 percent of America’s lakes are too polluted for fishing, swimming, or aquatic life. and 1.2 trillion gallons of untreated sewage, stormwater, and industrial waste are discharged into US waters annually.” This making our world a giant ball of filth floating in the galaxy. The planets waters polluted, the airs polluted, and lands polluted and man is to blame. The irresponsibleness and dickery of man has brought down an earth that has supported life for billions of years in a matter of about 200 years. One could only applaud, as they swim in the filth of what they still try to call their home. Furthermore, overpopulation is just an addition to the case against mans murder of the earth. Overpopulation simply put is that there are too many human beings inhabiting the earth. Causing a variety of disasters that in turn is leading to the demise of the planet. For one, human overpopulation has caused the depletion of the world’s natural resources. A study by the UNEP Global Environment Outlook, found that “human consumption had far outstripped available resources. Each person now requires a third more land to supply his or her needs than the planet can supply.” This meaning man has over welcomed its stay, that the human species has far outnumbered the limit for what really the earth can withstand. It means a mass consumption of natural resources that are already at a decline. The math is simple, the more people, the more consumption of natural resources. Secondly overpopulation has led to the loss millions of habitats across the world. Said in a web inforum Effects of Human Overpopulation “rainforests once covered 14% of the earth’s surface, now only 6%, and experts estimate that the last remaining rainforests could be consumed in less than 40 years.” The sexual drive and sometimes natural instincts to repopulate could be to blame yet it is also and sign of idiocracy that we see the issue of overpopulation and there is no real intention of stopping it. More the opposite is being done, man is clear cutting forests in need for room to grow as well as the use of those forests and other habitats for their natural resources to mankind’s seemingly infinitely growing number. Onward we see that overpopulation has also caused a loss in biodiversity, through the actions of increased pollution from a rising man power to do such an action likewise with the destruction of natural ecosystems. Explained in Earth Eclipse “Overpopulation has… contributed to the mass extinction of species. The number of threatened species persists to multiply worldwide whereas some have completely gone extinct.” So not only has the earth’s resources and ability to live been slowly deteriorating from the direct hands of man, other life and animals have unjustly been victims to the growing population of man and its uncontrollable capability to destroy. The planet and its organism are left to suffer through a darwinistic state that means survival of the fittest through man’s introduction of pollution and overpopulation. All in all it is clear to see we as humans and as a whole are to to blame. The earth, the planet, the world, the place man calls home is not what it used to be. Life on earth is dying and it’s starting with its natural resources to sustain such life. Its leading causes are pollution are overpopulation working hand in hand with man’s actions to prosper, and grow and to which achieve at all necessary costs. It has lead to the loss of animals, the loss of habitats, the loss of viable land, the loss clean air, the loss of sustainable oceans, and the loss of clean water and ultimately all of life’s natural resources. The truth hurts. The truth is that man has ultimately killed the earth.
